Plot

Here are a few plot points of my ocs.

    • By the east of the gulf, a small impoverished town rested, resided by only a few.

      • Two young orphans, Madeline and Sera, grew up together. Their neighbors brought them food and taught them how to live, but other than that, the two girls lived by themselves as sisters alone together.

    • One day, when the girls were young teens, a handsome young man came to the doorstep of the two girls. Sera opened the door and welcomed the man, he stated he had seen her earlier and wanted to get to know her better. Madeline joined the scene and remarked that she had never seen the man before, and from where he came and lived. The man avoided the question and furthered his admits of admiration for Sera.

      • Madeline soon grew extremely suspicious of this man, as days turned into weeks, he'd continuously take Sera out for dates and outings, but never would be seen otherwise.

    • One night, the man came once more and knocked at their door, to which Sera happily came to greet the man whom she came to hold great affection for. Tonight, unlike all the other nights he came, he held a bouquet of bright red flowers and offered it to Sera. She was enamored with the giant bouquet, and the two left together. Madeline was confused as she never saw that species of flower before, nonetheless in their town.

      •  This time, being tipped off by the all-of-the-sudden gift, Madeline decided to follow the two out to wherever they were going.

      • And as she followed secretly behind them, she saw them go into the forest.

    • The forest was overwhelmingly dark and thick, she could barely see in front of her, and she definitely couldn't see the two she was following.

      • After skewering blindly, she found a clearing. Standing there were Sera and the man, they were talking very quietly to themselves. Madeline decided to watch from afar as the two conversed further.

      • Soon enough with the nothing out-of-the-ordinary conversation, Madeline fell asleep.

    •  Shocking her out from her sleep, Madeline awakens to screaming coming from behind her. She gets up and beams from the tree into the clearing.

      • There was no longer the handsome man standing there entertaining Sera; instead, a giant beast loomed over; with Sera, bloodied and battered on the ground.

      • Sera has been killed by the beast, who's handsome form was only a disguise.

    • Madeline pulls a knife and lunges further into the clearing toward the beast, but before she could land a hit on it, it transformed into Sera.

      • Madeline hesitates in shock of seeing Sera, but comes to the fact that it truly isn't her. The beast was able to transform into its victims, but Madeline would not become the next mask for it to use.

      • Madeline, despite the beast being under the guise of Sera, stabs the beast to death.

    • Suddenly, two people emerge from the bush: Vaska and a young Katali.

      • As Vaska deals with the corpse of the beast, Madeline becomes infixed with Katali who shared a striking resemblance to Sera.

      • Vaska and Katali witnessed Madeline taking down the beast, and decided to bring her with them as to recruit her into the Guard in the future.

    • A few months have passed and Madeline's intrigue with Katali became an obsession. Resembling her Sera, Madeline projected the bond onto Katali, even becoming possessive of her.

      • Madeline and Katali trained together, and Katali taught Madeline how to use a spear

    • However, as the next leader of the Guard, Katali spent more time with her brother in training than Madeline.

      • As jealousy and obsession grew to extreme levels within Madeline, the distance between her and Katali grew.

      • Soon enough, similarly to how Madeline transferred Sera onto Katali, she began to transfer the Beast onto Vaska.

    • One night before the Guard's curfew, she happened to slip poison into Vaska's drink,

      • She was very much successful as Vaska died.

    • Katali was left in grief and desolation after her brother's death and began to confide in Madeline as a loyal companion, much to Madeline's content. Katali even went as far as to call Madeline her sister.

    • Many years later, Katali is still head of the Guard, and Madeline is still acting as deputy. One evening, they are informed of a concern within the forests.

      • Upon arriving, they are met with an entire section of the forest on fire.

      • They see a sole girl on the ground, slouched over the body of a bloodied and battered woman.

      • They grab and take the girl with them, leaving the dead woman to the flames. They attempted to talk to the girl, but she wouldn't utter a sound.

    • Upon reaching safety, and after a while to cool down, the girl was come to be understood as Kesari.

      • Katali put Kesari under the care of Madeline, who trained her similarly to how she was trained by Katali.

      • As time came, Katali promoted Kesari into the their rankings. Although Madeline was threatened at first, she became comfortable with Kesari being on the same level, as she didn't pose any threat to her and she saw how Kesari looked up to her.

    • The three became the head of the Guard, protecting the city of Arasia from harm, especially after the now not-so-recent independence from the Kingdom of Obelisk.

      • However, as time went on, they realized that the future of their nation depended on the relations it had with others. And as the Kingdom of Obelisk reached out an olive branch to the nation to trade resources, they welcomed the opportunity for future relations.

      • They signed off on a deal to have an advisor from Obelisk to join the Guard, which they looked forward to. Soon enough, she arrived at the Guard's Capitol Building and presented herself as Gudiya Galiara.

    • Gudiya, hailing from a noble family in the distant Kingdom of the Obelisk, sails to the land of Arasia to join the Guard, a group of individuals tasked with the management of the city after gaining independence from King Alabaster.

    • Gudiya befriends Gotameri, the taxi-boat sailor who was the one who brought her to Arasia. They both mutually consider each other their only friend.

    • After a year within the guard, Gudiya soon outranks Madeline, practically replacing her duties, leaving Madeline to take over patrol duties, leaving her bitter and resentful.

    • Another 6 months later, Gudiya, Kesari, and Katali make a major decision on the inclusion of the Kingdom Obelisk in their day-to-day markets and economy, allowing more travel between the two lands. Madeline hates this with her dear life, believing this to be Gudiya's sole decision to destroy the independence they earned.

      • Madeline drives herself to a point of disdain and madness, following and spying on Gudiya's day-to-day activities, practically obsessing on her, and how to get rid of her.

      • Discovering Gotameri, finding her out of place, finds out her background to a slain sailor clan, destroyed by the attacks of a powerful navy from the Kingdom

      • She then finds out that the Navy responsible to the clan's downfall is related to Gudiya's family.

    • One night, Madeline finds Gotameri at her small shack of a home next to a cliff, and holds her at knife-point, giving her all the documents of "Gudiya's involvement" in her family's destruction, practically convincing her that's why Gudiya came to Arasia in the first place.

    • Before a meeting with Katali and Kesari, Gudiya decides to visit Gotameri, which she is confronted by her. As Gudiya states she had nothing to do with it, Gotameri makes a near-fatal attack on Gudiya.

      • Gotameri suddenly comes to her senses and sees what she's done, in disbelief slowly pacing backwards, falling off, and drowns.

      • Kesari who found it strange for Gudiya to have not shown up, traced her down to where she lay bloodied and barely alive.

      • She carries Gudiya back to receive immediate care.

    • Madeline enraged that Gudiya is still alive, waits for Katali and Kesari to leave her room before entering with a knife, holding it above Gudiya's chest. However, Kesari and Katali come back noticing that someone entered right as they left.

      • Madeline halted her attack, staring in horror that she'd been caught; there was no hope of regaining her reputation after this.

    • She lunges an attack straight at Katali, However, Kesari intervenes and pins her down. Katali and Kesari place her in a jail cell in the basement of the building.

      • After some time in confinement, Madeline, now with nothing, sees no reason to continue. She pulls out a knife she concealed under her clothes, and goes ahead with ending her own life.

    • Gudiya recovers from her injuries, affirms her standing in the Guard, and pledges to fulfill all duties she claims for herself for the betterment of the state.

    • Several weeks later, she receives a letter, at the bottom, it is signed

    "-Rita,

    avec l'amour de Madeline"

    • Several months after the ordeal with Gotameri, Gudiya has made a full recovery from her injuries. Katali still was the head of the Guard, Kesari became the deputy, Azulia a new   representative of the citizens of Arasia, and Gudiya the permanent ambassador representing the Kingdom of Obelisk,

      • The note Gudiya received still weighed on her anxiousness,  it certainly wasn't a letter of well wishes. With implications of Madeline, she wondered what upheaval has truly taken place beyond her.

    • One day during a meeting, one servant entered and announced an international ship has arrived for their reconnaissance.

      • They were all very confused, but they followed the servant to the docks where a large ship laid waiting.

      • A man, alongside a woman exited the boat and greeted Katali and the rest of the Guard with pleasant diplomacy. Kesari questions their purpose at their shores, but as the man was about to respond, another woman exited the ship. Gudiya froze where she stood as she looked at this woman, who looked exactly like Gotameri.

    • The woman introduced herself as Captain Rita, and the two others Thomas and Émilie. She stated they were here to discuss relations with Gudiya, but unsure how to contact her directly.

      • The Guard were suspicious, but Gudiya stepped forward to get a better look at Rita and her intentions. But as soon as Gudiya got close enough, Rita pulled her to knifepoint, essentially taking her hostage.

      • The three and Gudiya renter the ship, the rest of the Guard helpless lest risking Gudiya. The ship leaves and the Guard in shock of what just occurred.

    • Tied up, Gudiya faces Rita. Rita explains that Madeline got in touch with her about Gotameri being alive, who she thought died during a shipwreck in their childhood. In fact, Rita held the understanding that she was the only survivor, so the revelation her only sister was alive overwhelmed her with emotion and suppressed grief.  Not only was her sister alive, the letters from Madeline noted that the blood of those who wiped out their family had direct relation to her. While locked up shortly before her suicide, Madeline wrote Rita one last time noting Gotameri's death due to Gudiya's influence.

      • Enraged, Rita pulls a revolver at Gudiya as if to shoot her. Thomas, who stood in the corner the entire time, halts Rita.

      • Gudiya begins to explain her half of the story, including everything Gotameri told her of herself while they were friends. Rita breaks down and Thomas escorts her out, leaving Gudiya alone tied up in the room.

    • Several hours later,  Émilie comes in with food, she spoon-feeds Gudiya as she's bound by rope.  She explains the captain's grief to her clan and dear sister, and the hurt and hatred that resides in her. She leaves and once more Gudiya finds herself alone.

      • Gudiya started to swing from her bindings, loosing the knots. She falls but found herself from free from the rope. She couldn't leave still as the door to the room was locked from the outside.

    • Back in Arasia, Katali leads the Guard to rescue Gudiya. Azulia and Kesari were put in charge of preparing and leading a militia to overthrow the ship while held Gudiya.

      • They acquire 2 ships, both smaller than Rita's ship, but still usable. they set sail in search of Rita's ship.

    • Gudiya, at this point fed up of the confinement of the prison of the room, broke the lock of the door and escaped.

      • As she snuck throughout the belly of the ship, she passed several different chambers and rooms. She soon found herself in front the door of the Captain.

      • Although risky, Gudiya decided to face Rita, as it would be more possible for reasoning than the loud squabbles she heard from above deck. She knocked upon the door and waited.

      • The door opened and Gudiya met eyes with Rita. And although Gudiya saw Rita reaching for her pocket, she lounged over and placed her head on her chest and hands upon her shoulders. A silence reigned in that doorway, but soon enough, Rita seemed to be overcome by the emotions she held and broke down; and although with every step she took backward she threatened to kill Gudiya, Gudiya continued to approach her.

    • The two end up having a heart-to-heart, and although Rita still very much despised Gudiya, she held a better understanding of the circumstances in which they were there. She admits the reason she kidnapped Gudiya was to drown her just as Gotameri drowned, but she just couldn't bring herself to; she wanted to hurt Gudiya, but a simple death wouldn't be enough.

      • Gudiya explained Madeline as a character, and how she used Gotameri as a pawn. She continues to explain the fate of Madeline, in which Rita gave an even more exhausted expression.

    • Katali's ships arrived and began to bombard the enemy ship. The militia boarded the ship and began ambushing the crew, Azulia and Kesari began to prepare escape boats for the get-away afterwards. Katali boarded the ship with a pistol and pocket-knife and headed below deck. Kesari boarded the ship and aided the fight against the crew. Azulia took seize over the helm and secured the ship in place.

      • Rita, who took the timing between Gudiya's talk and the sudden ambush in relation, pounced upon Gudiya with a dagger from her pocket. Gudiya swore it had nothing to do with the ambush, in which Rita in a wrathful fury pulled out her revolver. Gudiya lunged forward blocking the attack and threw her out the room, the two fought and argued all throughout the belly of the ship.

    • Gudiya and Rita face down, Rita armed with a knife and Gudiya with nothing but the objects around the ship. Rita relentlessly attacked and slashed at Gudiya, in which Gudiya dodged and blocked the attacks.

      • Katali finds them and hauls a paper-weight from a desk at Rita, striking her head and knocking her to stumbling. Thomas enters and begins fighting Katali. Rita, despite dazed, continues her attack on Gudiya.

      • Gudiya lashes Rita with a book, and under the injuries sustained, especially to the head, she collapses to the floor. Katali subdues Thomas and aims her pistol at Rita. Helpless Rita attempts to get up but fails.

    • Gudiya steps in front of Rita, blocking Katali from shooting her. Rita, in hurt confusion, looks to Gudiya as she explained Rita meant no true malicious harm. On the ground, Rita begins to cry once more, losing consciousness.

      • Seeing the elimination of the threat, Katali lowers her gun. Gudiya crouches next to Rita, pitying her strife. Thomas regains the strength to stand and sees Katali and Gudiya caring for Rita, in he accepts their mercy. He carries Rita above deck, followed by Katali and Gudiya.

    • What they see is almost every crew member tied up, with Kesari collapsed, exhausted, on the floorboards.  Azulia, still keeping the helm secure, allowed Thomas to lead them back to the docks.

    • Back on solid land, Gudiya and Rita have their wounds treated, with the others getting rest.

      • In the hospital, Rita and Gudiya once more have a heart-to-heart. Rita still cannot let go of the hurt and resent of her sister and she can't let go of Gudiya's involvement. However, she understands killing Gudiya wouldn't fix it. Gudiya accepts her sentiments and falls asleep.

    • Upon awakening, Gudiya realises Rita is gone. Next to her, she finds Katali. As it played out, Gudiya fell asleep for 14 days, Rita recovered and returned back to sea with her crew. After Katali leaves, Gudiya sits up and looks around the hospital room, on the nightstand laid a bouquet with a hidden note inside. As Gudiya read the note, her eyes gave a gentle gleam, a hint of hope, and a tender bittersweet taste to her life and the years to come.
